A medium-weight red wine made in a small village on the beautiful hills of San Gimignano, a World Heritage Site in Tuscany, Italy. Made from 100% Sangiovese. A top-class red wine from "Chianti". A blend of tank-aged wine and barrel-aged wine. The remaining rhymes are long and helpful. A well-balanced taste that is difficult to forget for many drinkers.

Wine Details

Taste

It has a deep ruby color with subtle nuances around the edges that suggest a little aging.

The aroma has a strong impression of black fruits such as cassis, black cherry, and blackberry, and as time passes, the wild aroma of game and the sweet spices of dark chocolate and licorice are also felt. The aroma shows the good condition of the aging, and the expectation increases.

It has a firm, dry taste with a good balance of acidity and tannins. Aging in tanks and barrels gives the tannins a soft, gentle texture.

The taste includes black fruits, licorice, cocoa, and a hint of spice like black pepper.

It has a long aftertaste and you can enjoy the change from fruitiness to spice over time.

About the Magnoni family

Fattoria Majnoni Guicciardini (Magnoni family)
Organic history: Since 2000 (certified in 2007)

It is located in Vico d'Elsa, halfway between the big city of Florence and the world heritage site of Siena. The area has a multi-layered structure consisting of white and gray clay, which is typical of the region, and reddish yellow sandstone, which originates from the area being the bottom of the sea in ancient times. The grapes grown on the clay-dominated soil give the wine complexity and a strong structure, while the grapes grown on the sandstone-dominated soil give the wine a light and aromatic taste. The Magnoni family purchased this land in 1870 and have been inherited for generations. They were searching for a way to present their wine, and they arrived at organic farming. By practicing organic farming, they feel a connection with the people who have been working on this land for centuries, and they feel that they can have a better relationship with their employees and customers without relying on industrial methods. Pietro, the owner of the family, ideally wants a wine that is elegant, well-structured, not too heavy, and easy to drink.

キャンティ スペリオーレ 赤

ずっしりとした重厚感を感じる、複雑ですてきなワインでした。ごくごく飲むというより、寒い冬にゆっくり飲むのが楽しかったです。
