Organic history: Since the dawn of history (certified in 1990)
The winery is located in the village of Prieres at the foot of Mount Sainte-Victoire, in the Provence region of southern France, a place that Cezanne loved to paint many times. Due to its Mediterranean climate with little rainfall, the humidity is low and it is a famous wine-producing region since before the Common Era. The history of the farm dates back to the French Revolution of 1789. The Dowell family's fields have never used pesticides or chemical fertilizers since recorded history. They cherish the things that have been passed down for generations while also incorporating new sensibilities, such as using a Greek Venus statue and a winemaking jar excavated from the premises as motifs for their wine labels. The Dowell family's wines are made with the aim of producing delicate and elegant wines, such as harvesting grapes from 3:00 am to 8:00 am to prevent them from being damaged by the heat of the day, making them a particularly suitable wine for those new to organic wine.
