Mustard adds magic to your ingredients
"This is not a seasoning but a cooking sauce."
This was Mavi CEO Tamura's first impression when he tried this mustard.
The whole mustard seeds are soaked in seasonings (vinegar, apple juice, honey, salt, and spices) without being crushed. No artificial seasonings or preservatives are used.
With its crunchy texture and gentle, fruity acidity, it will change your perception of mustard.
It's delicious not only with meat, sausages, and charcuterie, but also as a sandwich sauce or a dip for boiled vegetables.
This mustard is handmade in our store and contains no preservatives, so please store it in the refrigerator after opening and consume as soon as possible. It has almost no spiciness, so you can use it generously as a sauce.
*The mixed flavor is a little spicier than the yellow flavor.
*The ingredients are not organic.
A mustard made by a reservation-only hideaway restaurant in Yonago, Tottori Prefecture
We were introduced to the French restaurant "Onze" by "Hata Sake Shop," a store in Tottori Prefecture where you can buy Mavi wine. Chef Izumi of Onze serves special dishes using home-grown vegetables and ingredients from Tottori Prefecture.
Because it is not possible to prepare large quantities at once, it was previously only available for purchase at restaurants or local stores.
Recommended ways to use mustard
Use it as a sauce for beef steak or roast pork. (It also tastes good with simply grilled beef without salt or pepper.)
As an accent for fish meunière.
It has a taste similar to French mustard sauce, so it's delicious just spread on bread, but it's also excellent on rillettes or as a sandwich sauce.
It is recommended to serve with boiled vegetables, herb grilled potatoes or mushrooms, and also as a dressing for carrot rappe salad.
