This is a full-bodied red wine made from Barbera grapes grown on steeply sloping fields in Asti, close to the famous Italian wine region of Barolo. It has aromas of bitter chocolate, prunes and black tea, and a well-ripened fruit flavor. Its color is so concentrated that it is almost opaque, but the tannins are fine, making it easy to drink and elegant. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, it is usually aged for 14 months in new French oak barrels, and for 12 months after bottling before being shipped. This organic wine goes well with roasted meat and game, and you can feel its high class with just one sip.

非常に濃いルビーを思わせる色合い、赤い実の果物、特にベリー類、カシス、苺に、たばこのような煙のニュアンスが合わさった複雑な香りをもつ。味わいは、熟して丸みを帯びたタンニンが快く、まさしくフルボディ。素晴らしい構造、複雑さ、飲み込んだ後の余韻も心地よく後をひく。モンフェッラートの丘という土地の個性を良く現しているワインである。

イタリア北部ピエモンテ州のサンマルツァノットにあります。ピエモンテ州はイタリア全土の中でも1位2位を争うワイン銘醸地です。1880年から代々続くワイン農家で、現在は3兄弟でワイナリーを運営しており、ワイン造りは長男の息子エンリコが中心となって行っています。地中海性気候により、ぶどうの成長期・結実期・夏の終わりに太陽がよく照ることでよく熟した実が収穫できます。化学合成物質のない場所で、暮らし・働くため。また私たちの美しい大地を救い、守っていくため1985年に転換しました。収穫は全て手摘み、電力はソーラーパネルでまかなっています。多くの種類のぶどうを栽培し、数種類のワインを造っていますが、そのワインごとに畑や造り方を細かく変えてそれぞれのワインの特徴を表現しています。ワイナリー内には宿泊施設とレストランがあり、出される食材も全て敷地内でオーガニックで育てたものを提供しています。
