Austrian Chardonnay. The gorgeous aroma of grapefruit, lychee, and white flowers is impressive. The fruitiness and acidity are well-balanced and the volume is also good, giving it a solid taste. The balance of fruitiness, acidity, volume, and all of these is excellent, and the Chardonnay has a well-structured finish, making it sophisticated and very satisfying to drink. The minerality continues in the aftertaste, and it has a long aftertaste. It is recommended to pair it with fresh dishes such as white fish sashimi and salads.

味わい

輝きのある淡いレモンイエロー。

香りは非常に華やかで複雑。りんごや白桃、蜂蜜、さらにグラスを回すと、奥から芳しい白い花の香り。また溶かしバターや、クリームの柔らかなニュアンスも。強いミネラル感もしっかりと感じる。

口当たりはまろやかで、豊かな果実味の中にしっかりとした酸味が広がる。果実味、酸味、ボリューム感、その全てを構成するバランスが非常に秀逸で、骨格のある仕上がり。後味にもミネラル感が続き、余韻も長い。

気品がありミネラル感にあふれるマントラーホフのシャルドネ。その仕上がりはさすが。

首都ウィーンから車で1時間ほど離れた、ドナウ河の北岸傾斜にぶどう畑があります。マントラー家がワイナリー経営をはじめたのは200年前です。かつての修道院の敷地で農業とワイン造りを行っています。父のヨセフは2002年の大洪水をきっかけにオーガニックに転換しました。「同じことをこのまま続けていたら、モノカルチャーと土壌劣化の結果、工業的農業は終焉へ向かうだろう」と考えたのです。ぶどう栽培においては、とにかく観察。何を必要としているか、どのような環境にさらされているのかをしっかりと見抜き、腐植質豊富な土壌にすることで、自然と土壌が豊かになることを目指しています。醸造では、その年の特徴が自由に表現されることを願いつつ、人的介入が最低限になるように心がけています。現在は父の教えを守りつつ、三兄弟が中心となって運営しています。

シャルドネ 白

お水に軟水硬水があるように、私は硬く感じました。これをミネラル感と言うのでしょうか？シャルドネを初めて飲んだ時のイメージがあるので、私はもっとホワッとした感じのシャルドネが好みですが、暑い夏にはキリッと飲めて良いかもしれません。
