This dry white wine is made in Penedès, a famous wine-producing region near Barcelona in the Catalonia region of Spain. グラスを近づけると、洋梨や林檎のコンポートに、シナモン、ドライパセリ、黄色い花やアーモンドなどナッツの香りも感じる。
ドライな果実味が穏やかな酸味と共に広がり、余韻には強い旨みとスパイシーなニュアンスが印象的。

スペインとフランスの国境沿いのカタルーニャ地方にあります。スペイン最高のワイン産地と言われているリオハに次いで評価の高い産地です。バルトラ家は1540年から続くワイン農家です。現在は20代目のエンリックを中心にいとこと共同経営をしています。オーガニック転換はいとこが興味をもったのがきっかけで、「家族のため、消費者の安全のため、環境保存のため」に1981年に転換しました。エンリックはスローフード協会の会員で、絶滅の危険があるぶどう品種の栽培にも取り組んでいます。中でも「マルヴァジャ デ シッジェス」は大変貴重なもので、スローフード協会から次世代に残していくべき品種として「味の箱舟賞」を受賞しています。マルヴァジャは他のぶどうと比べると手がかかる品種ですが、貴重でオリジナリティのあるこの品種を育てていることに彼らは誇りを持っています。

個人的においしいなあと思うのはスペインのワインが多いので、注文してみました！グラスに注ぐと、きらきら光ります。ラフランスのような香り、味を感じて、大好きな風味でした。白ワインは夏だなあと思っていましたが、冬の綺麗な空気に白ワインがぴったりだとわかりました。
