This full-bodied red wine was made in a small village on the beautiful hills overlooking San Gimignano, a World Heritage Site in Tuscany, Italy. It is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes. It is concentrated and complex, and takes some time to open up, so it is recommended to uncork or transfer to a carafe a few days before drinking. It is a wonderful wine comparable to Grand Vin, with complex flavors of black fruits, vanilla, and spices, and a long aftertaste.

味わい

グラスの底が見えないほど深みのあるルビー色。更なる熟成が期待できる色合いです。

抜栓直後は、複雑さと凝縮感が強く感じられる香り。

時間が経つにつれて香りが開き、カシスやブラックチェリー、ブラックベリーなどの熟した黒果実に、わずかなバニラや甘草、クローブ、砕いた胡椒などの様々なスパイスの香りが広がります。

味わいはドライで、しっかりとした果実味とタンニンに、バランスの良い酸味が感じられます。アルコール度数も14度以上で、飲みごたえのある重口。黒果実のフルーティさに、樽由来のバニラや甘草、クローブなどのスパイスの香り、また熟成による皮のようなニュアンスなど、複雑な風味が楽しめます。

余韻も長く、グランヴァンに匹敵するような力強さと上品さのある仕上がりです。

大都市フィレンツェと世界遺産シエナの中間にあるヴィコ デルサにあります。この地区の典型的な地質構成である白と灰色の粘土質が重なった地質と、古代には海の底であったことに由来する赤みがかった黄砂岩の帯からなる多重構造になっています。粘土質が主の土壌で育ったぶどうからは、ワインに複雑さやしっかりとした骨格がもたらされ、砂岩が主の土壌で育ったぶどうからは、軽やかで香り豊かなワインになります。マニョーニ家は1870年にこの土地を購入し、代々受け継がれてきました。自分のワインをどう示せばよいかを追求した結果、オーガニックに辿り着きました。オーガニック農業を実践することにより、何世紀も前からこの地で働いてきた人々との繋がりを感じ、工業的な製法に依存せず、従業員やお客様ともより良い関係を持つことができると感じています。当主のピエトロが理想とするワインは、エレガントで骨格がしっかりとしていて、重すぎず親しみやすいワインです。
