This full-bodied red wine is made from grapes grown on the steep, dry schist fields of the Douro River basin, a famous wine-producing region in Portugal with 2,000 years of history. It uses Touriga Francesa, Touriga Nacional, and Tinta Roriz varieties, and has a rich, mellow flavor that is full of the blessings of ripe fruit. The astringency blends into the wine, and the aftertaste is reminiscent of vanilla and caramel. This is a recommended bottle for fans of "strong red wines" who want to enjoy it slowly with steaks and other meat dishes.

味わい

ピントゥ イ クルスさんのドウロはプルーンやブラック チェリーを煮詰めたような香りの中に甘草（カンゾウ）や胡椒を連想するニュアンスがあります。

渋みがワインに溶け込んでいて、バニラやキャラメルを思わせる後味が印象的。しっかりと熟した果実の恵みが詰まったような、まろやかで厚みのある赤。

ステーキなどの肉料理にたっぷりの付け合せ野菜を用意して、自宅でゆっくりと楽しみたい１本です。

16-18℃でどうぞ。

甘口ポルトが大半を占めるドウロ地方（ポルトガル）では珍しい、甘くない重めの赤＝辛口タイプ。

※清澄やろ過を行っていないので、澱が見られる場合があります。飲む前に瓶を立てておくと底に沈みますのでグラスに入らないようお気をつけください。ワイン由来成分ですのでご安心ください。

オーガニック歴：1994年から

ポルトガル北西部、ドウロ川沿いにあります。1870年に創立しました。年間を通して雨は少なく乾燥し、夏と冬の寒暖差が激しい地域にあります。1994年にポルトガル政府がオーガニック転換に対する補助金を設けたのをきっかけに転換しました。畑は傾斜15〜35度の急傾斜地にあり、機械が使えないので、全て手摘みです。収穫したぶどうは機械で潰して石桶に移し、足でさらに踏み潰します。足踏みの古代製法の方がより良いワインが出来ることから、今もこの製法を守っています。「ここでオーガニックは不可能」と言われるほどの厳しい条件にも関わらず、国外のコンクールで数々の賞を獲得するワインを創り出しています。

雑味無く、しっかりした葡萄を感じられます。

完熟ブドウをギュッと絞ったような果実味の豊かさが強いインパクトとして好印象でした。カバニスさんのコスティエール・ド・ニーム 赤をはじめて購入し、リピーターとなりましたが、近い系統で他産地のワインを探してる中でチョイスしました。クセになるワイン、リピーターが多いワインかもしれないと思いました^_^
