This fruity and mellow white wine is made from the noble Pinot Gris grapes in Alsace, a region famous for its white wines. It has a refreshing minerality to it, with a fruity aroma reminiscent of ripe kumquats and other fruits. It has a gentle sweetness and is fruity yet satisfying to drink. This organic wine goes perfectly with pork.

味わい

きのあるレモンイエロー。
パイナップルやマンゴーを思わせる果実香の中にレモングラスなどのハーブやミネラル感が清々しい香り。さらに黄色い花や、蜂蜜のニュアンスも。

口当たりはまろやかで、フルーティな中にも飲み応えがあり、後味にも蜂蜜のような余韻が長く続く。

特に豚肉との相性は抜群の白。

アルザス地方でも南寄りのベルクホルツ村にあります。1620年より親から子へと代々引き継がれてきた、歴史のあるワイン農家です。現在は13代目フランソワを中心に栽培から醸造までを行っています。地形的にヴォージュ山脈とアルプス山脈に囲まれた盆地で、冬と夏の寒暖差に加え、年間降雨量も少ないため高品質のワインが生み出されます。メイエー家がオーガニックに転換したのは、12代目のユージェーヌが農薬中毒によって視神経が麻痺するという深刻な事態に陥ったことに因ります。その時にホメオパシーで治癒したことにより、シュタイナーのビオディナミに出会い、1969年に転換することを決意しました。50年以上もビオディナミ農法を続けたことにより、メイエー家のぶどう畑はいきいきとしたエネルギーに満ちています。メイエー家はフランス国内でもビオディナミのパイオニア的存在で知られています。

さわやかなピノグリ。いただきもののハムをたっぷりと、カルピスの無塩バターをはさんだバゲットに合わせました。軽めのランチにぴったり。
