A dry white wine made from the noble Alsace Riesling grape variety, aged in oak barrels for 15 months. It has a mineral feel with fruity notes of citrus and white peach. The full-bodied and fruity flavors of Riesling are complemented by the woody and complex aromas of aging, making it a satisfying wine to drink.

味わい

淡く美しいイエローの色合い

タンジェリンなどの柑橘類や、熟した白桃などの果実に、ミネラル感、繊細な木の香りがワインに複雑さを与えます。

アタックは繊細で、香りから感じた柑橘類や桃などのフルーティで表情豊かな風味が楽しめます。しなやかかつフルボディの飲みごたえのある味わいで、フィニッシュには心地よいほのかな酸味が感じられます。

オーガニック歴：1969年から（認証は1980年4月デメター・1991年ECOCERT）

アルザス地方でも南寄りのベルクホルツ村にあります。1620年より親から子へと代々引き継がれてきた、歴史のあるワイン農家です。現在は13代目フランソワを中心に栽培から醸造までを行っています。地形的にヴォージュ山脈とアルプス山脈に囲まれた盆地で、冬と夏の寒暖差に加え、年間降雨量も少ないため高品質のワインが生み出されます。メイエー家がオーガニックに転換したのは、12代目のユージェーヌが農薬中毒によって視神経が麻痺するという深刻な事態に陥ったことに因ります。その時にホメオパシーで治癒したことにより、シュタイナーのビオディナミに出会い、1969年に転換することを決意しました。50年以上もビオディナミ農法を続けたことにより、メイエー家のぶどう畑はいきいきとしたエネルギーに満ちています。メイエー家はフランス国内でもビオディナミのパイオニア的存在で知られています。

その奥の方から現れる、繊細で心地よい樽の風味が、チャーミングなワインを大人っぽく引き締める…
14代目グザヴィエさんの成長を思わせる、素敵な一本でした。樽を使った白ワインが苦手な方にもおすすめします。フランス、ジュラ地方のチーズととてもよく合いました。
機会があればもう一度味わってみたいです。
