A casual red wine made in a field overlooking Carcassonne, a World Heritage site in Languedoc, southern France. This 100% Merlot wine, bathed in the sunshine of southern France, has a good balance of fruitiness and acidity, making it an organic wine that will have you drinking more and more. Its fine tannins make it a great accompaniment to Japanese dishes such as beef stew and meat tofu.

味わい

わずかに透明感のあるルビー色。

よく熟したブルーベリーやチェリーなどの優しくて心が満たされるような果実香に、干しぶどうやプルーンの落ち着いたニュアンスの香りも感じます。

口に含むと、太陽をたっぷり浴びて育った南仏産のメルローらしいふくよかな果実味と落ち着いた酸味が感じられます。

口当たりはとげとげしさがなく、タンニンの舌触りが優しい印象のワインです。

ほんのりと感じる甘味が、ワインに果実感とまろやかさを与え、飲み口をよりスムースにしてくれます。

飲み込んだ後にもバランスの取れた豊かな風味が残り、土の香り、カカオやバニラの香ばしさ、熟した果実香などが広がっていきます。

Domaine de BRAUは世界遺産で有名なカルカッソンヌ近郊にあります。気候は地中海と大西洋からの影響を受けており、そのおかげで南仏とボルドーの両方のぶどう品種が栽培できます。2020年にレヴォル家が前所有者のタリ家から畑と醸造所を受け継ぎました。タリ家は1980年代からオーガニック農業を続けており、オーガニックワイン農家としてはパイオニア的な存在です。40年以上もオーガニックを続けている畑は生き生きとした生命力で溢れています。レヴォルさんはタリさんが実践していたオーガニック栽培の先を行く、自然農法を目指しています。ワイン造りに関してはタリさんのスタイルを継承せずに、極力樽を避けて、ぶどう本来の風味が引き立つ醸造を目指しています。涼しい夜間に収穫したぶどうを低温で醸造したり、醸造過程ごとの温度管理の徹底、出来たワインをすぐに瓶詰するなどの工夫をしながら、新しいワインの開発に意欲的に取り組んでいます。
