A full-bodied red wine made in a vineyard overlooking Carcassonne, a World Heritage Site in Languedoc, southern France. This red wine is a blend of four grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Grenache. You can enjoy the complex and rich aroma of concentrated black fruit with black olives and smokiness. A powerful red wine with firm acidity, tannins, and fruitiness. Aged for 18 months in old barrels, it has a well-rounded flavor.

味わい

深みのあるルビー色。

ブラックチェリーやカシス、ブラックベリーなどの黒果実の香りに、わずかなレッドカラントのニュアンスも。さらにブラックオリーブや少しスモーキーさも感じる、複雑で濃厚な香り。

味わいはドライで、酸味やタンニンがしっかりと感じられます。酸味の印象は強いものの、きめ細かくも存在感のあるタンニンや、果実味とのバランスが良く、重めのボディが全体をうまくまとめています。

古樽での熟成により、ワインの力強さがほどよく丸みを帯びた状態になっています。

余韻には酸味と果実味が長く続き、後味にはわずかにスパイス感も残ります。

Domaine de BRAUは世界遺産で有名なカルカッソンヌ近郊にあります。気候は地中海と大西洋からの影響を受けており、そのおかげで南仏とボルドーの両方のぶどう品種が栽培できます。2020年にレヴォル家が前所有者のタリ家から畑と醸造所を受け継ぎました。タリ家は1980年代からオーガニック農業を続けており、オーガニックワイン農家としてはパイオニア的な存在です。40年以上もオーガニックを続けている畑は生き生きとした生命力で溢れています。レヴォルさんはタリさんが実践していたオーガニック栽培の先を行く、自然農法を目指しています。ワイン造りに関してはタリさんのスタイルを継承せずに、極力樽を避けて、ぶどう本来の風味が引き立つ醸造を目指しています。涼しい夜間に収穫したぶどうを低温で醸造したり、醸造過程ごとの温度管理の徹底、出来たワインをすぐに瓶詰するなどの工夫をしながら、新しいワインの開発に意欲的に取り組んでいます。
