A medium-weight red wine made in a vineyard overlooking Carcassonne, a World Heritage site in Languedoc, southern France. It is a blend of Syrah and Ferselvadou. At first, the unique flavor may seem a little hard to get into, but as you savor it over time, the aromas of dried herbs, spices, and fruit will spread. This is a wine that you should uncork beforehand or put in a carafe to let it air out and enjoy over time.

味わい

透明感のある軽いルビー色。

グラスに注ぐと、はじめは藁や畳などを思わせる控えめで独特な印象の香り。時間が経つにつれ、ドライハーブや、ローズウォーターのようなフローラルな香りや、ブラックペッパーのスパイス感、ブラックベリーやブラックチェリー、プラムなどの黒果実のアロマが開いてきます。

口当たりはドライで、酸とタンニンが伸びやかに感じられます。口に含んだ瞬間も、香りに感じた独特の風味がありますが、時間をかけて味わうとドライハーブや黒果実、チェリーやザクロなどの瑞々しい赤果実の印象に変化していきます。

ゆっくりと飲むことで余韻もさらに長く感じられます。

Domaine de BRAUは世界遺産で有名なカルカッソンヌ近郊にあります。気候は地中海と大西洋からの影響を受けており、そのおかげで南仏とボルドーの両方のぶどう品種が栽培できます。2020年にレヴォル家が前所有者のタリ家から畑と醸造所を受け継ぎました。タリ家は1980年代からオーガニック農業を続けており、オーガニックワイン農家としてはパイオニア的な存在です。40年以上もオーガニックを続けている畑は生き生きとした生命力で溢れています。レヴォルさんはタリさんが実践していたオーガニック栽培の先を行く、自然農法を目指しています。ワイン造りに関してはタリさんのスタイルを継承せずに、極力樽を避けて、ぶどう本来の風味が引き立つ醸造を目指しています。涼しい夜間に収穫したぶどうを低温で醸造したり、醸造過程ごとの温度管理の徹底、出来たワインをすぐに瓶詰するなどの工夫をしながら、新しいワインの開発に意欲的に取り組んでいます。
