This year-end wine set includes two carefully selected organic wines from Mavi that go well with Japanese food. The red wine is light and fruity, but the soft fruitiness makes it satisfying to drink, and is recommended for pairing with dishes that use soy sauce. The white wine is a wonderfully crisp bottle with a refreshing citrus acidity and impressive lime flavor. It also goes well with sashimi and sushi. This is a gift set that is perfect for anyone who loves Japanese food.

Description of each wine

  • Refosco Dal Peduncolo Rosso Red [Left]
    A medium-bodied red wine made from the "Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso" grape variety, native to the Veneto region of Italy. It has a concentrated aroma of red fruit with hints of black tea and cocoa. It is light and well-balanced, and goes well with soy sauce-based Japanese cuisine.
  • Charente White [Right]
    This crisp, dry white wine was made in the Cognac region in southwestern France. Its sharp acidity completely eliminates the fishy smell. This is a great pairing for Japanese seafood dishes such as sushi and sashimi.
