A complex blend of black cherry, prunes, dried fruit, cinnamon, violets and other aromas. A very attractive wine with a concentrated fruitiness and firm acidity, rich astringency and a mineral and spicy aftertaste. Great as a casual drink to enjoy with your main dish. Recommended for braised pork, fried chicken, Chinese food, paella and roast chicken. A recommended Spanish red wine for everyday use.

味わい

濃いめのガーネット。
ブラックチェリーやカシスを煮詰めた果実香に、クローヴやカンゾウなど様々なスパイスやスミレの香り。
口に含むと味わいにも凝縮した果実味とそれを支える酸味が非常にバランスの取れた仕上がり。

洋：生ハムはもちろん、パテや牛・豚のロースト（カシスやベリー系のソース）和食：豚の角煮、鶏のからあげ中華：チンジャオロース、北京ダック（中華の甘味噌テンメンジャンに合う）スタッフの訪問時、デザートに出していただいたイチゴのオーブン焼きにぴったり合って驚きました。イチゴを5-10分中火のオーブンで焼いて、ミックスペッパー（黒、ピンク、白、グリーンのミックス）を軽くかけたもの

オーガニック歴：1981年から

スペインとフランスの国境沿いのカタルーニャ地方にあります。スペイン最高のワイン産地と言われているリオハに次いで評価の高い産地です。バルトラ家は1540年から続くワイン農家です。現在は20代目のエンリックを中心にいとこと共同経営をしています。オーガニック転換はいとこが興味をもったのがきっかけで、「家族のため、消費者の安全のため、環境保存のため」に1981年に転換しました。エンリックはスローフード協会の会員で、絶滅の危険があるぶどう品種の栽培にも取り組んでいます。中でも「マルヴァジャ デ シッジェス」は大変貴重なもので、スローフード協会から次世代に残していくべき品種として「味の箱舟賞」を受賞しています。マルヴァジャは他のぶどうと比べると手がかかる品種ですが、貴重でオリジナリティのあるこの品種を育てていることに彼らは誇りを持っています。

ラベルがシンプルで遊び心があってかわいいなと思って注文しました。説明文を読んで重めの赤ワインなのかな？と想像していましたが、良い意味で重さよりも素直さを感じる、おいしい赤ワインに感じました。個人的にはお料理と一緒よりも、ワインとチーズでゆっくり楽しみました。
