A full-bodied red wine made in the suburbs of Florence in the Tuscany region. It is a blend of 50-60 year old vines (vieilles vignes), and uses local varieties such as Sangiovese and Canaiolo. It has a scent of ripe fruits such as blackberries with hints of balsamic and spices. It is an organic wine that goes well with aged cheese, steak, and game dishes.
