As the product name "Pistillo" (Japanese translation: flower core) suggests, this is a medium-bodied dry white wine with a firm core. Produced in vineyards that have never used chemical fertilizers or herbicides, this wine is made using traditional methods that make the most of the unique characteristics of the indigenous Pecorino grape variety in the Marche region of Italy. Its pale lemon gold color opens up a world beyond your imagination. The refreshing aroma, firm fruitiness, and rich aroma blend in a wonderful harmony, enhancing your sense of satisfaction after drinking. Its flavor goes well with white meats such as pork and chicken.

Wine Details

Taste

A variety of aromas spread from this wine with a pale lemon gold color.

The overall impression is of the refreshing aroma of fruits such as green apples and pears. As the temperature rises, a different aroma emerges from the refreshing and delicate aroma of white fruits that you first sense.

It has a slightly strong citrus scent of lemon and kumquat, a sweet and sour aroma of pineapple, and the scent of white flowers such as acacia and hawthorn, expanding the world of aromas.

After enjoying the aroma, when you put it in your mouth, it gives a very dry and solid impression.

The taste is centered on acidity, but it is neither too heavy nor too light, and is very well balanced. The youthful acidity tightens the taste with sufficient fruitiness and aroma.

The aftertaste leaves behind distinctive aromas of hawthorn, kumquat, and pineapple.

It has a robust flavor and can be enjoyed now, but it is also a white wine with great potential for its aroma and flavor to develop over the next 2-3 years.

About the Capriotti family

Poderi San Lazzaro (Capriotti family)
Organic history: Since the dawn of history (certified in 2007)

It is located in Offida, Marche, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. For generations, grapes have been grown organically in this village and wine has been made for the family. The winery was established and winemaking began in earnest in 2005. Although it gets hot in the summer, the winds blowing down from the Apennine Mountains to the west into the Adriatic Sea provide excellent ventilation, making it an ideal climate for growing grapes. The vineyards are protected and have never used chemical fertilizers or herbicides. They are committed to using indigenous varieties of Marche, and aim to create wines that express the land while also having a harmonious aroma and flavor.
