This full-bodied red wine is made from Barbera grapes grown on steeply sloping fields in Asti, close to the famous Italian wine region of Barolo. Made by the Rovero family, who obtained organic certification in 1987, it has a rich flavor reminiscent of ripe fruit and prunes. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, it is aged in oak barrels for 12 months. It has just the right amount of tannins, making it an organic wine recommended for meat dishes and cheese.
