Red sweet vermouth is labeled "red," but it is made with white wine as a base, and has a distinctive amber color due to the use of burnt sugar. It has a bitter, fragrant taste. It has a rich herbal and fruity aroma that spreads endlessly. Citrus aromas with green herbs such as mugwort and fennel. Spice aromas with no accents such as cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and ginger. Each aroma blends together to create an indescribable harmony. The red also has an even bitterer taste. It can be enjoyed as an aperitif or digestif, and also as an ingredient in cocktails.

Wine Details

taste

The moment you look at the glass, numerous aromas are released. There are more than 20 kinds. Red vermouth has a more fragrant and bitter taste than white vermouth.

The aroma has a gentle citrus aroma of orange peel and lemon compote, with a spicy aroma of green herbs such as mugwort and fennel, accents of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and ginger.

The flavor is based on sweetness and fruitiness, which gives it a rich body, and the acidity that balances the overall taste is not too noticeable, but is still present.

The alcohol content is several times higher than that of regular wine, so you can feel the flavor and taste more directly. After drinking it, you can enjoy the strong flavor until the very end, with a rich herbal aroma and a bitter taste with a strong citrus aroma.

The aftertaste is very long, and all the flavor elements are well balanced, but it also has a bitter taste and a fragrant flavor. It is also recommended to mix it with carbonated water to make a cocktail.

About the Rovero family

ROVERO Fratelli (Rovero Family)

Organic history: Since 1985

Located in San Marzanotto, Piedmont, northern Italy. Piedmont is a famous wine-producing region that competes for first and second place in all of Italy. The family has been a wine farmer for generations since 1880, and currently the winery is run by three brothers. The winemaking is mainly done by Enrico, the eldest son. The Mediterranean climate and the sunlight during the grape growing season, fruiting season, and late summer allow for well-ripened fruit to be harvested. To live and work in a place without materials. Also, in order to overcome and continue to protect my beautiful land, I converted in 1985. All harvests are hand-picked, and electricity is provided by solar panels, which I think is quite good. We make wine, but we change the fields and production methods to express the characteristics of each wine. There is accommodation and a restaurant, and all the ingredients served are organically grown on the premises.
