Burgundy is a red wine made in the Nuits region in the northern part of the Cote d'Or. Made with Pinot Noir, it is made to be stored for a long time. The strong aroma of lively raspberries, spices, and earth, as well as the complex aroma of stewed red fruit jam, roses, and black tea, has a firm acidity and minerality, and a well-structured taste that reflects the size and potential of this wine. When you bring the glass closer, the vibrant aroma of raspberries is very vivid. At first, the aroma of various spices and earth is very powerful, but as you take your time, the aroma becomes more and more complex, and the sweet aroma of boiled red fruit jam, the gorgeous aroma of roses, black tea, and even a slightly wild aroma reminiscent of meat.

When you put it in your mouth, it has a youthful flavor centered on sparkling fruitiness and very firm acidity, and is characterized by a strong mineral feel, but even now you can strongly sense the grand scale and superior elegance of this wine.

The astringency is finely balanced and the texture is pleasant to the touch. This Pinot Noir has a wonderful structure and should be savored slowly and carefully over time.

About the Pelletier family

Chateau de Premeaux (Pelletier family)

Organic history: Since 1999

Located in the village of Nuits-Saint-Georges, south of the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy. The wine farm purchased the chateau in 1920 and has been passed down from father to son. Currently, Arnaud, the fifth generation, is in charge of grape cultivation and brewing. Some of the fields have been organic for a long time, but all of them were converted in 2012. We are proud to be able to teach our children that our land is cultivated in a way that does not pollute the earth, and that we should drink and eat things that are good for our bodies. Most of the Pelletier family's wines are for individual customers in France and are difficult to obtain even in France. By brewing each plot separately, we are able to bring out the terroir (soil) that we cherish.
