An elegant red wine from Burgundy, France. The gentle aroma of raspberries, roses, and a hint of earth builds expectations. The fruity aroma is strong and firm, and the astringency is soft and delicate, making it so delicious and easy to drink that you'll say you can't stop drinking it. The producers, the Chapel family, have been cultivating grapes ever since acquiring the vineyards of Santenay and Chassagne in Burgundy, a famous wine region, in 1893. The red wine from is a standard Chapel family wine, and we recommend pairing it with light meat dishes such as shabu-shabu.

Decisive red fruit aromas of raspberry and strawberry are followed for a short while by the aroma of roses in the background, as well as cinnamon sticks and a hint of earth, giving it a youthful feel.

About the producers, the Chapelle family

Domaine Chapell
Organic history: Since 2003

The winery is located in the Côte de Beaune, a region famous for its wines, where excellent red wines and elegant, delicate white wines are produced, which are highly praised by wine lovers around the world. This prestigious winery has been continued for generations since acquiring vineyards in Santenay and Chassagne in 1893. In 1923, the winery began bottling its own wines. After learning about soil, the current owner, Jean-François, decided to go organic. He came to the conclusion that in order to express the characteristics of the land in the wine, it was necessary to respect the workings of the soil, the vines, and the people, and made the switch in 2003. All of the grapes from the 20ha vineyard, which consists of many plots, are hand-picked, and the winery strives to produce wines that express the characteristics of each plot of the vineyard.
