This is a full-bodied red wine made with Nero d'Avola, a local Sicilian grape variety, and has a rich, satisfying flavor. After 18 months of aging in oak barrels, it is bottled and then aged for another 12 months, resulting in a dry wine with a focus on quality. The determined fruit aroma reminiscent of prunes blends with various elements such as cocoa and brown honey. It is an organic wine with a powerful fruitiness and acidity, and a cocoa aroma in the aftertaste, making it elegant and rich in flavor.

About the producers, the Cucurullo family

Masseria del Feudo (Cucururo family)
Organic history: Since the 1990s

It is located on a hill 480m above sea level in the center of Sicily, Italy. It is a family-run winery centered around Carolina and Francesco. The two fell in love with wine and tried making wine experimentally with grapes that their father had grown for a major winery. The results were excellent, so the siblings established a winemaking system. Their father, Salvador, started organic farming more than 20 years ago, when consumers and major wineries had not yet paid any attention to it. Francesco, the son, took over the business quite naturally. They believe that organic is not only good for the environment, but also has to be of good quality. All the harvest is hand-picked, and grapes from different plots are brewed separately, and the type of wine to be made is decided based on the quality of each tank.
