This dry white wine is excellent value for money and is a blend of Riesling, Muscat, Gewürztraminer, Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, and other noble varieties from Alsace, which is famous for its white wine. It has a refreshing taste with a mineral feel and the aroma of white flowers that are characteristic of Alsace wines. This organic wine is perfect as an aperitif or cold appetizer.

味わい

単一品種で作られることが多いアルザスワインですが、これは複数のブドウ品種をブレンドして作られたものです。十分なミネラル感と白い花の香りに程よい酸味が持続する爽やかな味わいです。

それぞれのぶどうの特徴を残しつつも絶妙に溶け合っていて、飲むのが楽しいワインです。

メイエーさんによると、通常エデルツにはほとんど使用されない高貴品種をふんだんに使っているのが自慢だそうです。

オーガニック歴：1969年から（認証は1980年4月デメター・1991年ECOCERT）

アルザス地方でも南寄りのベルクホルツ村にあります。1620年より親から子へと代々引き継がれてきた、歴史のあるワイン農家です。現在は13代目フランソワを中心に栽培から醸造までを行っています。地形的にヴォージュ山脈とアルプス山脈に囲まれた盆地で、冬と夏の寒暖差に加え、年間降雨量も少ないため高品質のワインが生み出されます。メイエー家がオーガニックに転換したのは、12代目のユージェーヌが農薬中毒によって視神経が麻痺するという深刻な事態に陥ったことに因ります。その時にホメオパシーで治癒したことにより、シュタイナーのビオディナミに出会い、1969年に転換することを決意しました。50年以上もビオディナミ農法を続けたことにより、メイエー家のぶどう畑はいきいきとしたエネルギーに満ちています。メイエー家はフランス国内でもビオディナミのパイオニア的存在で知られています。

アルザスで白ワインを飲んでから好きになりました。この白ワインはアルザスワインとしては安価でとてもおいしかったです。

近頃なんだか疲れが溜まっている、というような時に飲みたくなるワインです。
なんというか体に染み入る味というか、まろやかさが心地よいです。
キッシュや塩でいただく天ぷらにはとても合いました。
