グラスに注ぐと、黄金色が光る美しいイエローの色合い。オレンジなどの柑橘系のアロマにミネラル、白い花のニュアンスがある繊細でフルーティな香りが膨らみます。

口に含むと、熟した洋ナシや桃などの白い果実や、バーベナのような爽やかでフレッシュな風味が楽しめます。

味わいにも美しいミネラルを感じ、フィニッシュに感じる繊細なタンニンがこのワインの特徴です。まるでドライアプリコットを食べたような余韻も楽しめます。

オレンジワインらしさもありながら、飲みやすくエレガントな仕上がりです。

アルザス地方でも南寄りのベルクホルツ村にあります。1620年より親から子へと代々引き継がれてきた、歴史のあるワイン農家です。現在は13代目フランソワを中心に栽培から醸造までを行っています。地形的にヴォージュ山脈とアルプス山脈に囲まれた盆地で、冬と夏の寒暖差に加え、年間降雨量も少ないため高品質のワインが生み出されます。メイエー家がオーガニックに転換したのは、12代目のユージェーヌが農薬中毒によって視神経が麻痺するという深刻な事態に陥ったことに因ります。その時にホメオパシーで治癒したことにより、シュタイナーのビオディナミに出会い、1969年に転換することを決意しました。50年以上もビオディナミ農法を続けたことにより、メイエー家のぶどう畑はいきいきとしたエネルギーに満ちています。メイエー家はフランス国内でもビオディナミのパイオニア的存在で知られています。
