A barrel-aged red wine from Germany. The aroma of berry fruits is reminiscent of cherry liqueur and licorice. This barrel-aged red wine has a harmonious balance of red fruit acidity, mild tannins, and a barrel aroma that gently supports the aftertaste.

味わい

淡い紫色の入ったルビー。

ベリー系の果実の香りに、チェリーリキュールや甘草などを思わせる香り。

全体的にドライで、チェリーやクランベリーなどの赤果実を思わせる酸味が感じられます。タンニンはかなり抑えられており、軽やかな仕上がり。控えめな樽香が、余韻を優しく支えます。

香りと酸味、タンニンのバランスが良く、樽熟ですが気負いなく楽しめる1本です。

フランクフルトから車で2時間ほどのロマンチック街道で有名なドイツ南部のフランケン地方・クリンゲンベルグ村にあります。前当主ヴィリが村のワイナリーで働き始め、翌年1972年に小さな畑を買ってワイン造りを始めました。ヴィリはドイツ最古で最大のビオ生産者団体でのアドバイザーも務めたパイオニアで、元々環境問題に敏感だった為1990年に転換しました。畑はマイン川を見下ろす急斜面にありテラス式になっています。日当たりも良く春もすぐに暖かくなる畑ですが、1区画ごとに階段を上り小さな道具だけを使う重労働です。一部ビオディナミの要素を取り入れ、ストレスや病気に強く質の良いぶどうに仕上げています。酵母は添加せず、樽はドイツ産を使うなどこだわったワイン造りをしています。
