This full-bodied red wine is made from Sangiovese grapes grown in Offida, one of the most beautiful villages in the Marche region of Italy, where no chemical fertilizers or herbicides have ever been used since recorded history. It has a scent of violets, spices and herbs. It is full-bodied yet elegant, so you can enjoy it by the glass. In the summer, why not chill it to about 14°C and enjoy it? This organic wine goes well with casual Italian dishes such as pasta with tomato sauce or pizza.

Wine Details

Taste

Bright, sparkling ruby.

The aroma is reminiscent of simmered blueberry jam and figs, with hints of violet flowers, cloves, and herbs such as oregano and sage.

The soft fruitiness is supported by an elegant acidity, making this a beautifully balanced wine that is satisfying to drink but also goes down smoothly.

About the Capriotti family

Poderi San Lazzaro (Capriotti family)
Organic history: Since the dawn of history (certified in 2007)

It is located in Offida, Marche, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. For generations, grapes have been grown organically in this village and wine has been made for the family. The winery was established and winemaking began in earnest in 2005. Although it gets hot in the summer, the winds blowing down from the Apennine Mountains to the west into the Adriatic Sea provide excellent ventilation, making it an ideal climate for growing grapes. The vineyards are protected and have never used chemical fertilizers or herbicides. They are committed to using indigenous varieties of Marche, and aim to create wines that express the land while also having a harmonious aroma and flavor.
