About the producers, the Dowell family

Domaine Pinchinat (De Welle family)

Organic history: Since the dawn of history (certified in 1990)

The Dowell family's vineyards are located in the village of Prieres at the foot of Mount Sainte-Victoire, a mountain that Cezanne loved and painted many times in the Provence region of southern France. The region has a dry Mediterranean climate with little rainfall, and has been famous as a wine-producing region since before the Common Era. The family's history as a farming family dates back to the French Revolution of 1789. The Dowell family has never used pesticides or chemical fertilizers on their fields since recorded history. They cherish the things that have been passed down through the generations while also incorporating new sensibilities, such as using Greek Venus statues and winemaking vases excavated from within the family estate as motifs for their wine labels. The Dowell family's wines, which value the production of delicate and elegant wines, such as harvesting from 3:00 am to 8:00 am, are particularly suitable for those starting out with organic wines.
