A luxurious red wine from the Meyer family, who practice biodynamic farming in Alsace, France. Made from 100% Pinot Noir, it has been aged in barrels for 18 months. The wine's name "QVX" was given to it by Xavier, the young 14th generation of the Meyer family, and it is a special cuvée.

味わい

透明感のあるルビー色。

ブラックベリーやブルーベリー、ブラックチェリーなどの黒果実に、ラズベリー、チェリーの赤果実の香りがバランスよく感じられます。

口当たりはドライですが、穏やかな酸味と、非常に柔らかいタンニンが上品な味わい。黒や赤い果実の香りに、ジャムのようなニュアンスも加わり、ほどよい熟成感も楽しめます。

余韻も長く、豊かな味わいの1本です。

アルザス地方でも南寄りのベルクホルツ村にあります。1620年より親から子へと代々引き継がれてきた、歴史のあるワイン農家です。現在は13代目フランソワを中心に栽培から醸造までを行っています。地形的にヴォージュ山脈とアルプス山脈に囲まれた盆地で、冬と夏の寒暖差に加え、年間降雨量も少ないため高品質のワインが生み出されます。メイエー家がオーガニックに転換したのは、12代目のユージェーヌが農薬中毒によって視神経が麻痺するという深刻な事態に陥ったことに因ります。その時にホメオパシーで治癒したことにより、シュタイナーのビオディナミに出会い、1969年に転換することを決意しました。50年以上もビオディナミ農法を続けたことにより、メイエー家のぶどう畑はいきいきとしたエネルギーに満ちています。メイエー家はフランス国内でもビオディナミのパイオニア的存在で知られています。
