味わい

やや淡めのゴールド

マンゴーやパイナップルなどのトロピカルフルーツや柑橘類の溢れるような果実香の中に、ナッツや蜂蜜、強いミネラル感、またこのぶどうの特徴である清々しいハーブに、モカの複雑なニュアンスも感じる、圧倒されるほどの華やかさを持つ香り。

口に含むと、大変力強く、豊かなアタック。強靭な骨格で、厚み、深みがあり、中でもいつまで続くのかと思わせるこの余韻の長さは特筆もの。上質なナッツの風味が驚くほど長く印象を残す。

素晴らしい造りで数年に渡る長期熟成も楽しみだが、もちろん今からでもスケールの大きさをしっかりと楽しめる、ひとクラスもふたクラスも上の白。

今飲むならできれば開けてから3日ほど待つと、香り味わいともに大きく開き楽しませてくれる。

イタリア北部ピエモンテ州のサンマルツァノットにあります。ピエモンテ州はイタリア全土の中でも1位2位を争うワイン銘醸地です。1880年から代々続くワイン農家で、現在は3兄弟でワイナリーを運営しており、ワイン造りは長男の息子エンリコが中心となって行っています。地中海性気候により、ぶどうの成長期・結実期・夏の終わりに太陽がよく照ることでよく熟した実が収穫できます。化学合成物質のない場所で、暮らし・働くため。また私たちの美しい大地を救い、守っていくため1985年に転換しました。収穫は全て手摘み、電力はソーラーパネルでまかなっています。多くの種類のぶどうを栽培し、数種類のワインを造っていますが、そのワインごとに畑や造り方を細かく変えてそれぞれのワインの特徴を表現しています。ワイナリー内には宿泊施設とレストランがあり、出される食材も全て敷地内でオーガニックで育てたものを提供しています。
