In order to make the most of the flavor of grapes from vines over 80 years old in the Nuits region in the north of the Cote d'Or, no barrels are used at all, and the softness and delicate flavor of the vineyard is expressed. The producer Arnaud cherishes this vineyard very much, and has negotiated directly with the non-organic vineyard owner next door to take care of the vineyard, so much so that he has now made the neighboring vineyard organic as well.

taste
In the cellar, I found Nuits-Saint-Georges Le Clos des Argillières (an old vine that will also produce a great 84 year old wine). Let me tell you about this wine.
The color is a solid ruby, with a wonderful clarity. The aroma is of the barrel, with a toasty and spicy flavor, and is pleasantly strong. In the mouth, it is full-bodied and sweet, with a complex mineral finish (with hints of leaf mold, forest undergrowth, and game).
A youthful yet pleasant wine, very well balanced with a pleasant, long-lasting finish. Drink now, but give it another 5-6 years or more to enjoy. A great complement to any fine dish or delicious mushroom dish.

About the Pelletier family
Chateau de Premeaux (Pelletier family)
Organic history: Since 1999
Located in the village of Nuits-Saint-Georges, south of the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy. This wine farm has been passed down from father to son since the chateau was purchased in 1920. Currently, Arnaud, the fifth generation, is in charge of grape cultivation and brewing. Some of the fields have been organic for a long time, but in 2012, all of the fields were converted. The Pelletiers are proud to be able to teach their children that they cultivate their land in a sustainable way and that they should drink and eat things that are good for their bodies. Most of the Pelletiers' wines are for individual customers in France and are difficult to obtain even in France. By brewing the vineyards strictly in separate plots, they carefully bring out the terroir (soil).
