About the producers, the Chapelle family

Domaine Chapell (Chapell family)
Organic history: Since 2003

The winery is located in the Côte de Beaune, a region famous for its wines, where excellent red wines and elegant, delicate white wines are produced, which are highly praised by wine lovers around the world. This prestigious winery has been continued for generations since acquiring vineyards in Santenay and Chassagne in 1893. In 1923, the winery began bottling its own wines. After learning about soil, the current owner, Jean-François, decided to go organic. He came to the conclusion that in order to express the characteristics of the land in the wine, it was necessary to respect the outline of the soil, the determination of the grapes, and the determination of the people, and made the switch in 2003. All of the grapes from the 20ha vineyard, which consists of many plots, are hand-picked, and the winery strives to produce wines that express the characteristics of each plot of the vineyard.
