Barrel-aged wine special feature: The appeal of barrel-aged wine
A "happy" moment as you indulge in the aroma of the barrel
Barrel-aged wine (cask aged) has a rich, full-bodied flavor. Many wine lovers are sure to be enchanted by its dense flavor.
In this special feature page, we will introduce barrel-aged wines that can only be tasted at Mavi, along with their appeal and how to enjoy them.
The appeal of barrel aging
Barrel aging involves aging wine in oak barrels (made of oak or Japanese oak) rather than in stainless steel. By placing the wine in an oak barrel, the color, aroma, and flavor of the barrel are transferred to the aging wine.
As the wine ages, it turns golden in color, has a gorgeous aroma, and develops a rich, full-bodied flavor.
